Discover St. Moritz’s healing springs and spa culture

For the sake of your health! In the historic Forum Paracelsus, restored in 2014, you can taste the slightly acidic healing waters of St. Moritz at the drinking fountain and learn the history of St. Moritz’s healing springs at listening stations and on touchscreens. At the heart of the museum, the Mauritius spring, dating back to the Bronze Age, can be seen rising up behind a glass pane. In the Middle Ages, Pope Leo X chronicled the beneficial healing springs, which had already gained fame some 1400 years BC, and the naturopathic physician Paracelsus spread the reputation of St. Moritz as a health resort thanks to his therapies involving the ferrous and carbonated water from St. Moritz’s healing springs. A medical/therapeutic spa still exists today as the MTZ Heilbad St. Moritz, next to the OVAVERVA Pool, Spa & Sports Centre in St. Moritz-Bad.
